Srinagar, August 1, 2025 :  The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against a dismissed police constable for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to officials, the case has been filed against Firdous Ahmad, a former Selection Grade constable of the J&K Police, following discreet verification that revealed possession of assets far exceeding his legitimate earnings.

The ACB found that Ahmad had accumulated multiple properties, including a two-storey residential house on ancestral land in Hugam (Anantnag), a palatial home on 1 kanal 10 marlas of land in Estate Machbhawan Mattan, a one-third ownership in Hotel Grand Lords in Movora (Pahalgam), and a double-storey house in Tawi Vihar, Jammu.

Search warrants were obtained from the Special Judge, Anti-Corruption Court, Anantnag, and raids were conducted at properties linked to the accused, officials said.
