The facility is meant as a space for learning, community interaction and empowerment of women in the region.
Executive Councillor of the LAHDC, Ghulam Mehdi, attended the event as the chief guest. Anjuman-E-Imamia president Ashraf Ali Barcha, nominated councillor Mumtaz Hussain and Yangchan Dolma were present as the guest of honour.
Ghulam Mehdi commended the Anjuman-E-Imamia Women Wing and its president Nasreen Maryam for their dedication towards women empowerment and community upliftment. He lauded the vision behind the centre, describing it as a much-needed initiative that will foster education, dialogue and social development.
He further assured that the Hill Council remains committed to supporting such initiatives that aim at educational growth and inclusive community development. He reiterated that women empowerment continues to be a key focus for the Council, and welcomed such grassroots efforts that align with that vision.
