Jammu, March 23, 2026 : In a notable development, four IAS officers from Jammu and Kashmir have been appointed as Assistant Secretaries in key ministries of the Government of India, marking a significant opportunity for exposure to central governance.
According to an official memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, the officers—Anmol Rathore, Arjun Gupta, Seerat Baji, and Aparajita Aryan—will undergo an eight-week attachment with the central government beginning May 4, 2026.
As part of the assignment:
- Anmol Rathore has been posted to the Ministry of Economic Affairs
- Arjun Gupta to the Ministry of Women and Child Development
- Seerat Baji to the Ministry of Power
- Aparajita Aryan to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
This prestigious attachment programme is designed to provide young IAS officers with hands-on experience in policy formulation, implementation, and administrative functioning at the national level.
