Srinagar, January 14, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Tuesday announced the results of the Class 12 annual examinations, recording an overall pass percentage of 84.02 per cent, officials said.
According to official figures, a total of 70,735 students from the Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu appeared in the examinations, out of which 59,435 candidates successfully cleared the exams.
Continuing the trend seen in recent years, girls once again outshone boys in overall performance. While the pass percentage of boys stood at 82 per cent, girls recorded a higher success rate of 86 per cent, reaffirming their consistent academic edge in board examinations.
JKBOSE officials described the overall performance as satisfactory, congratulating the successful candidates for their hard work and perseverance.
“The results reflect sustained efforts by students, teachers and educational institutions across the region,” an official said, adding that the board remains committed to improving academic standards and examination processes.
The declaration of results has brought relief and celebration among students and parents, marking another encouraging chapter in the region’s academic progress.
