📍 Leh, September 27, 2025: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Northern Command, today called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, to discuss the prevailing situation in Leh.
The meeting focused on the overall security scenario, emerging challenges, and strengthening coordination between the civil administration and armed forces to maintain peace and stability in the region. Both sides emphasized the importance of preparedness and synergy in addressing any contingency.
The Lt Governor appreciated the Army’s role in safeguarding borders and ensuring public safety, while Lt Gen Sharma reaffirmed the Army’s unwavering commitment to the security and integrity of the Union Territory.
Also present were the GOC 14 Corps, Maj Gen Dalbir Singh (MGGS Northern Command), and Col Vikas Vasisht (Deputy Military Advisor to Northern Army Commander).
