Jammu, October 13, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, emphasizing that “inclusion is the key for prosperity.” He was addressing the 45th Foundation Day of the School for Hearing Impaired, run by the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra in Jammu.
The Lieutenant Governor said that over the past few years, the government has prioritized ensuring that every section of society, including people with special abilities, becomes an integral part of Jammu and Kashmir’s developmental journey.
“Our aim is to ensure that people with special abilities can unlock their potential and contribute to greater prosperity and social stability,” he said.
Addressing the gathering, the LG also cautioned against attempts by “certain forces within and outside India” to hinder the nation’s progress, asserting that no power can stop India’s march toward becoming a developed nation.
“India will emerge stronger, overcoming every challenge and hurdle created by such elements. No one can stop our rise,” Sinha affirmed.
Highlighting the government’s vision for empowering people with special abilities, the Lieutenant Governor outlined four key focus areas:

Identifying individual strengths and providing platforms to promote them.

Creating an inclusive environment that encourages independent thinking and decision-making.

Supporting decision-making abilities through mentorship and institutional support.

Building an ecosystem for self-learning and self-improvement.
He also paid tribute to Dr. R.R. Khajuria, the founder of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, lauding his pioneering work in social service and education.
“Dr. Khajuria’s legacy continues to inspire us. I commend the entire team of Samaj Kalyan Kendra for their selfless dedication to social upliftment,” he said.
LG Sinha assured full administrative support to the Samaj Kalyan Kendra for the smooth functioning of the school and appealed to corporate houses, business leaders, and citizens to contribute to the noble cause of empowering people with special needs.
He also praised the students for their impressive cultural performances during the event, calling them “symbols of hope, resilience, and inspiration.”
The event was attended by K.B. Jandial, President of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra; Dr. Rakesh Khajuria, Vice President; J.K. Vaidya, General Secretary; members of the organization; special educators; and students.
Prominent guests included Dr. Ashok Bhan, Gunjan Rana, and Suresh Kumar Sharma, Members of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; and B.R. Sharma, Chairman of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, J&K, along with senior officers.
