Srinagar, October 31, 2025 : The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die on Friday by Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, marking the end of a nine-day session that saw elections to four Rajya Sabha seats and the passage of five government bills.
The session, largely smooth with occasional uproar, witnessed 732 questions submitted—682 admitted, 29 discussed, and 73 supplementaries raised. Members also brought up 97 Zero Hour issues and 67 calling attention notices, of which 10 were discussed.
A total of 14 private bills were received, while 33 from previous sessions remain pending. Only eight private bills were debated, all of which were withdrawn or defeated.
The only notable disruption came when BJP legislators staged a walkout after their motion seeking discussion on flood victims was rejected.
Speaker Rather thanked members for their cooperation, saying the House functioned “smoothly and constructively.”
