Jammu, August 21, 2025 : In a major crackdown on illegal encroachments, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA), led by Vice Chairman Rupesh Kumar and supported by the District Administration, launched a large-scale demolition drive across Sidhra, Majeen, and Rangoora areas of Jammu district.
During the operation, over 20 unauthorized permanent and semi-permanent structures, including newly constructed buildings and boundary walls, were demolished. The action came in response to a surge in illegal occupations on JDA land.
Authorities confirmed that nearly 110 kanal of prime land was successfully reclaimed and secured with fencing and warning signboards to prevent further encroachment.
Reiterating its zero-tolerance policy, the JDA warned that violators will face strict legal consequences and urged the public to avoid unauthorized construction or occupation of government land. Citizens have been advised to verify ownership and obtain approvals before undertaking any construction activity.
