Jammu, March 28, 2026 : Speaker of the J&K Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather on Saturday chaired a High-Level Apex Committee (HLAC) meeting to review and fast-track the implementation of the National e Vidhan Application in the Assembly.
Push for Paperless Legislature
The Speaker stressed the need for:
- 📲 Timely completion of the NeVA project
- 🧾 Transition to a fully paperless Assembly
- ⚙️ Integration of digital systems for efficient legislative functioning
The initiative aims to modernize legislative processes and enhance transparency through digital governance.

- 🖥️ Expedite procurement of hardware & network equipment
- 🏢 Ensure implementation at both Assembly complexes in:
- Jammu
- Srinagar
- 🤝 Maintain inter-departmental coordination
