JAMMU, April 7, 2026 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday inaugurated the Regional Business Centre of Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Rail Head Complex, marking a major step in the bank’s expansion and modernization strategy.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the bank’s leadership and staff, describing the new facility as a significant milestone in strengthening financial infrastructure and service delivery in the region.

- Designed to enhance efficiency, coordination, and customer services
- Equipped with a currency chest, modern branch, and dedicated departments
- Aims to accelerate decision-making and backend support systems
Officials said the centre will play a crucial role in deepening market reach and supporting inclusive growth, aligning with the bank’s long-term vision.
During the event, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee informed that the bank’s total business has crossed ₹2.90 lakh crore, reflecting strong financial performance.
He emphasized that the new Regional Business Centre is not just an infrastructure upgrade but a strategic move to strengthen business architecture in a key growth region.
The facility is expected to boost J&K Bank’s presence in Jammu, while keeping pace with evolving customer expectations through modern infrastructure and digital integration.
Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, senior bank executives, and administrative officers, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
