Srinagar, Aug 14, 2025 : Saifco Cements Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of JK Cement Ltd, has launched its flagship JK Super Cement brand in Kashmir, marking a major expansion into the northern markets. The move follows JK Cement’s recent acquisition in the region and aims to strengthen local infrastructure, economic growth, and employment generation in Jammu & Kashmir.
Known for its strength and durability, JK Super Cement will now be manufactured locally and distributed across key districts including Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama.
Managing Director Dr. Raghavpat Singhania said the launch aligns with JK Cement’s strategy to cater to rising demand driven by public infrastructure and housing projects in the region. Joint MD & CEO Madhavkrishna Singhania added that the investment would foster sustainable growth, create jobs, and strengthen local capabilities.
Directors Suhail Manzoor Guna and Dawood Altaf Guna of Saifco Cements highlighted the company’s commitment to quality supply, skill development, and building a self-reliant Jammu & Kashmir.
The initiative is in line with the government’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision, and builds on JK Cement’s nationwide growth, following recent market entries in Bihar and capacity expansions in other states.
With a grey cement capacity of 25.26 MTPA and a strong presence across 15 states, JK Cement is among India’s leading cement producers, also operating internationally in the UAE and Africa, and diversifying into paints, construction chemicals, and ready-mix concrete.
