Srinagar, November 5, 2025 : Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Wednesday hailed Kashmir as the “crown of India” and a timeless centre of knowledge and wisdom.
Speaking to the media, Khan said, “Kashmir occupies a special place in my heart. This is not a ceremonial statement — I genuinely mean it when I say that Kashmir is the crown of our country.”
He added that in Sanskrit institutions, students traditionally take symbolic steps toward Kashmir before receiving their degrees — a gesture of reverence to this land of learning and enlightenment.
His remarks highlighted Kashmir’s deep cultural and intellectual legacy, portraying it not merely as a geographical jewel but as a living symbol of India’s ancient pursuit of truth and wisdom.
