Bandipora : The Kargil Vijay Diwas Maha Rajat Janti KVDRJ unit of the Indian Army recently organized a Premier League Bagtore at the High Ground Bagtore in the Gurez Valley of Bandipora district. The tournament featured eight teams from Block Bagtore, with an equal representation from Kanzalwan and Bagtore villages.
The primary goal of the event was to engage the local youth in sports activities and prevent their involvement in drug addiction.
The tournament was met with immense enthusiasm from the community, particularly the young players. They expressed their sincere appreciation to the Indian Army for their efforts in organizing such events in the remote border areas of the Gurez Valley.
One participant remarked, “We will always be grateful to the Indian Army for their continuous support in promoting sports and development in our area.” The tournament not only provided a platform for local talent to showcase their skills but also fostered a sense of unity and purpose among the youth of Gurez Valley.
