New Delhi, February 1, 2026 : The Union Government on Sunday proposed an allocation of ₹4,869.31 crore for the Union Territory of Ladakh in the Union Budget 2026–27, reflecting continued financial support for the region’s development and infrastructure needs.
In comparison, Ladakh was allotted ₹4,692.15 crore in the Budget Estimates for 2025–26. However, under the Revised Estimates 2025–26, the allocation was significantly enhanced to ₹7,377.43 crore, comprising ₹5,029 crore for revenue expenditure and ₹2,347.73 crore for capital expenditure.
As per the Budget documents for 2026–27, the proposed allocation of ₹4,869.31 crore includes:

₹2,542.26 crore towards revenue expenditure, aimed at meeting administrative, social sector and operational expenses.

₹2,327.05 crore earmarked for capital expenditure, focusing on infrastructure development, connectivity, and long-term growth projects in the strategically important Union Territory.
The allocation underscores the Centre’s focus on balancing developmental priorities with fiscal prudence, while continuing investments in Ladakh’s infrastructure, public services and overall socio-economic progress.
