Doda, October 16, 2025 : Wildlife authorities on Thursday captured one of two leopards that had been causing panic among residents in Doda town, Jammu and Kashmir. A search operation is still underway to locate and capture the second big cat, officials said.
“We intensified the operation keeping public safety as our top priority. One leopard has been successfully captured and relocated to Kishtwar,” said wildlife official Manohar Lal.
Authorities have urged residents to stay alert and avoid venturing into isolated areas until the second leopard is caught.
