Jammu, March 8, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday interacted with a group of youth from Ladakh who are visiting Jammu under the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) initiative “Students’ Experience in Regional Understanding (SERU) – Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra 2026.” The interaction took place at Lok Bhavan.
During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor warmly welcomed the visiting students and encouraged them to explore the diversity of India’s culture, traditions and social fabric. He emphasised that such exposure helps young people broaden their perspectives and inspires them to contribute positively to society.
Manoj Sinha said that initiatives like the SERU programme play an important role in strengthening the spirit of national unity and promoting mutual understanding among youth belonging to different regions of the country. He noted that interactions between young people from diverse backgrounds help build lasting bonds and reinforce the idea of national integration.
The visiting students also shared their experiences and insights gained during the programme, highlighting the educational and cultural exposure they received while travelling across different states.
The delegation consists of 30 students from various regions of Ladakh, including Nubra, Kargil, Leh, Lamayuru, Shang, Nyoma and Zanskar. The group is participating in the National Integration Tour organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in collaboration with Vidhyarthi Seva Educational Trust and Students’ Experience in Interstate Living (SEIL).
The tour aims to provide young participants with wider educational and cultural exposure through visits to several parts of the country, including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
The initiative seeks to strengthen bonds among youth from different regions and promote the message of unity in diversity across the nation.
