Jammu, January 22, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed profound shock and grief over the tragic loss of 10 brave Indian Army soldiers who lost their lives in a road accident in Doda district after their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.
The Lieutenant Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families of the gallant soldiers who lost their lives and extended his wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured. He also spoke to senior officials, directing them to ensure best possible medical treatment for the injured and all necessary assistance to the bereaved families.

“Deeply saddened at the loss of lives of 10 of our brave Indian Army soldiers in an unfortunate road accident in Doda. We will always remember the outstanding service and supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers. My deepest condolences to the grieving families.
In this moment of profound sorrow, the entire nation stands united with the bereaved families in solidarity and support. Ten injured soldiers have been airlifted to the hospital. Directed the senior officials to ensure best possible treatment. Praying for their speedy recovery.”
