Jammu, February 18, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for their emphatic victory in the Ranji Trophy semi-final, which secured the team a historic berth in the final for the first time.
In a post on X, the Office of the J&K Lieutenant Governor lauded the team’s performance, calling it a landmark moment in the Union Territory’s sporting history.
“Congratulations to the J&K cricket team on their magnificent victory in the Ranji Trophy semi-final! You have etched a new golden chapter in the sporting history of J&K,” the post said.
The Lieutenant Governor said the entire Union Territory takes pride in the team’s achievement and expressed confidence that the players would carry forward their winning momentum in the final and bring further glory to Jammu and Kashmir.
