Jammu, October 17, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday left for Kalmykia, Russia, to lead a delegation bringing back the holy relics of Lord Gautam Buddha after a week-long exposition.
The sacred relics were showcased in Elista, the capital city of Kalmykia, from October 11 to 18, as part of a cultural and spiritual exchange promoting India’s ancient Buddhist heritage.
In a post on X, the LG expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the “sacred opportunity” to lead the delegation.
