SRINAGAR, July 25, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid heartfelt homage to the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces on the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War under Operation Vijay.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor remembered the unmatched courage and supreme sacrifice of the nation’s soldiers who defended the country’s sovereignty against all odds.
“On Kargil Vijay Diwas, I bow to our martyrs and salute their bravery, courage, and sacrifice. Our heroes fought and triumphed in one of the world’s most inhospitable terrains. Their gallantry and valour will continue to inspire generations,” LG Sinha said.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed annually on July 26 to honour the soldiers who laid down their lives recapturing Indian territory from infiltrators during the 1999 conflict.
