Srinagar, Aug 15, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha hoisted the National Flag at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar, marking the 79th Independence Day. Extending greetings to the people, he paid heartfelt tributes to freedom fighters, martyrs of the armed forces, police, CAPFs, and civilians who lost their lives in the Chashoti cloudburst and Pahalgam terror attack.
Calling for unity in building a peaceful and prosperous Jammu & Kashmir, the LG said, “Let us ensure no individual or village is left behind in this journey of peace and progress. As the tricolour flies high, let us look ahead with pride, confidence, and hope.”
He expressed gratitude to the armed forces, J&K Police, and all agencies involved in Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev for their courage in avenging the Pahalgam attack, and reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to eliminate terrorism from the region.
The LG urged citizens to dedicate themselves to equality, self-reliance, rural prosperity, and empowerment of farmers, youth, and women, envisioning a strong and vibrant Jammu & Kashmir for the future.
