Jammu, November 24, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday visited the Commando Training Centre (CTC) of Jammu & Kashmir Police in Sunjwan, Jammu, to assess ongoing specialised training programmes aimed at strengthening counter-terror and tactical capabilities.
During the visit, the LG — accompanied by DGP Nalin Prabhat — reviewed multiple specialised modules and training activities being undertaken by commando trainees. Senior officers briefed him on operational preparedness, counter-terror drills, tactical response techniques, and modern combat training being imparted at the centre.
The Lt Governor interacted with trainees, took stock of their progress, and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and service.
A detailed presentation was given by the SSP Training & Special Operations, covering the centre’s operational framework, training components, and proposals for upgrading infrastructure and expanding the CTC’s facilities to meet evolving security challenges.
Senior officials including SDG (Coordination) S. J. M. Gillani, Principal Secretary Home Chandraker Bharti, ADGP Headquarters M. K. Sinha, IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti, and Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar also accompanied the LG.
The visit underscores the administration’s commitment to equipping Jammu & Kashmir Police with advanced skills and state-of-the-art training to effectively counter emerging security threats.
