Jammu, August 8, 2025 : Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a man for assaulting a government official in the Kangrail area on Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the accused—identified as Abishek Suryavanshi of Kangrail—allegedly blocked the path of Patwari Susheel Kumar as he returned to his office from field duty, physically assaulted him, and issued threats.

Following the complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Kanachak Police Station, and the accused was taken into custody.

Further investigation is currently underway.
