Srinagar, Aug 18, 2025 : PDP president Mehbooba Mufti expressed deep sorrow over the deaths caused by flash floods in Kathua district, where seven people were killed and six others injured after cloudbursts and landslides hit Jodh Ghati (Rajbagh) and Bagra (Janglote) villages early this morning.
“Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives due to flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in Kathua. The scale of destruction is heartbreaking. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families,” Mufti posted on X.
The former chief minister urged the administration to act swiftly and decisively, stressing that “every moment counts in such critical situations.”
