JAMMU, April 7, 2026 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday emphasized that modern court infrastructure is crucial for efficient justice delivery and public trust.
Chairing a high-level meeting, the CM reviewed progress on upcoming High Court complexes in Jammu and Srinagar, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening judicial infrastructure.

🔹 New High Court complex planned at Raika, Jammu
🔹 Existing court to be shifted from Janipur to a modern campus
The project is being executed by National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited in multiple phases to ensure structured development.
👉 The CM also reviewed redevelopment plans for the Lower Court Complex in Srinagar and directed officials to ensure quality benchmarks and inter-departmental coordination.
The meeting was attended by senior officials including Atal Dulloo and Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani.
👉 The initiative aims to upgrade judicial capacity and improve access to justice across the Union Territory.
