Srinagar, September 8, 2025 : National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday paid heartfelt tributes to the party’s founder Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah on his 43rd death anniversary.
The Abdullahs laid floral wreaths at the mausoleum of Sheikh Abdullah, popularly known as Sher-e-Kashmir, located at Naseembagh in the Hazratbal area of Srinagar.

During the solemn event, special supplications and prayers were offered for the departed leader, who is widely credited with transformative contributions to the socio-economic development of Jammu and Kashmir. Notably, Sheikh Abdullah’s key initiatives included:
