Srinagar, September 12, 2025 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Maharashtra government for contributing Rs 5 crore to the J&K Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, aimed at supporting flood relief and rehabilitation efforts in the Union Territory.
Omar Abdullah highlighted that such gestures of solidarity reinforce the spirit of national unity and shared responsibility among Indian states. Speaking on his official social media handle X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister said,
“Such gestures of solidarity strengthen the spirit of unity and shared responsibility across states.“
The contribution from Maharashtra is seen as a significant support at a time when Jammu and Kashmir continues to recover from the devastating floods, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and mutual assistance in times of crisis.
