Jammu, December 4, 2025 : Jammu Police on Thursday claimed a major breakthrough against cross-border narco-terrorism with the arrest of six accused and the recovery of nearly 5 kilograms of heroin, along with three pistols and ammunition.
Officials said the international market value of the seized contraband exceeds ₹30 crore.
Addressing the media, Superintendent of Police Ajay Sharma stated that 4.95 kilograms of heroin was recovered and four of the arrested accused have already been sent to judicial custody.
“During digital analysis, it was found that the accused were directly connected with Pakistani handlers who were supplying drugs as part of a larger conspiracy to destroy the youth of this nation,” the SP said.
Calling it a clear case of narco-terrorism, Sharma added that the accused were waging an unconventional war against India, following which relevant sections of UAPA have also been invoked. A formal case has been registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station under the NDPS Act.
