Baramulla, Sep 12, 2025 : In a significant enforcement action, police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district attached properties of two proclaimed offenders under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The properties belong to Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh and Mohammad Rafiq Tantray, residents of Tantraypora Palhallan but currently residing in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Following a special court order under UAPA, the police attached a total of seven kanals and 32 marlas of land belonging to the accused.
Additionally, police attached a double-storey residential house valued at around Rs 50 lakhs in Budgam, owned by a drug peddler, Sahil Yousuf Bhat.
The action was carried out under Section 88 of the CrPC with full legal procedure, including public notification.
