Kulgam, November 3, 2025 : In a significant security operation, two old terrorist hideouts were busted on Monday in the forested areas of Damhal Hanjipora, south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
The joint operation, launched by the 9 Rashtriya Rifles and J&K Police, followed specific intelligence inputs about the presence of militant infrastructure in the area.
“Two old hideouts were traced and subsequently busted between Ahmadabad and Nengripora forest areas,” an official confirmed.
During the search, security personnel recovered gas cylinders, clothes, and other materials, indicating previous militant use. Authorities said further investigation is underway to ascertain the origins and linkages of the busted hideouts.
The operation reflects the continued vigilance and coordinated efforts of security forces to eliminate remnants of terror networks in south Kashmir.
