Srinagar, Aug 13, 2025 : Multi-tier security has been put in place at Bakshi Stadium, the main venue for Independence Day celebrations in Jammu and Kashmir, to ensure an incident-free event.
A full dress rehearsal was held on Wednesday, with Divisional Commissioner V. K. Bhiduri taking the salute at the march past. “High-rise spotters have been deployed, and all possible scenarios factored into the security plan,” said IGP Kashmir Zone V. K. Birdi.
The rehearsal featured contingents from police, security forces, and schools, followed by cultural performances by artists and children showcasing the region’s diversity.
