The visit is expected by April 6 during which Shah will interact with top police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF) officials, where discussions over the reports of increased infiltration and terror movement in the hinterland are expected.
Shah is also likely to meet the families of four policemen, who were killed in action in Kathua during an encounter on Thursday.
“A high level security review meeting is expected to take place when the Home Minister visits Jammu. The visit holds significance as it will be held at a time when reports of terror movement are pouring in specifically in Kathua region,” sources in police department informed.
These areas are manned by the BSF and reports suggest that the terror infiltration is taking place through IB. The Home Minister had visited Jammu two years ago.
