SMVD University students, Ms. Ananta Peshin, a researcher, and Ms. Urvi Jasrotia, a UG
student in the School of Languages and Literature, won the first prize in a National Level
Research Paper Writing Competition on the theme, “Subhash-Swaraj-Sarkar”. The
competition was organized by Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal and was hosted by the Central
University of Jammu. Around ten thousand students and researchers had registered in the
competition from all over the country. Ms. Ananta Peshin secured the first position in the
research category from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and the UT of Ladakh. She presented
the paper titled “Women of Azad Hind Fauz: Analyzing Gandhi-Bose Perspective”. Ms. Urvi
held the first position in the UG-PG category. She presented on the topic, “Self-Reliant
Bharat: Vision of Subhash Chandra Bose”. Both of them were awarded a certificate and a
cash prize of rupees one thousand each. The program was chaired by Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Vice
Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, and Prof. Rajnikant of University of Jammu was
the Chief Guest of the occasion.
