Sparkle Women Club members meet Corporator Rahul, seeks development of park
JAMMU, May 11: A delegation of Sparkle Women Club led by its Chairperson Poonam Sethi and Secretary Gunjan Kohli met Corporator Rahul Kumar and submitted a memorandum with regard to the development of a public park at Gandhi Nagar.
Chairperson Poonam Sethi appreciated the efforts of Rahul Kumar for installing various equipments like open gym, playstation, water cooler and small store by arranging adequate funds from the government. She appealed to Kumar for taking adequate measures for development of Park No 3 in Gandhi Nagar.
Poonam Sethi said that there is dire need to carry out some electrification works, repair of boundary wall, water issue, laying of floor tiles, etc.
Corporator Rahul Kumar appreciated the Sparkle Women Club for showing serious concern over the lack of facilities in the public park and assured them that the aforesaid issues will be taken up to the concerned authorities for early redressal. He assured them the aforesaid issue will be resolved in a time bound manner.
Kumar asserted that several developmental works are still in the pipeline and the same would be carried out in a phased manner. He appealed to the Club members to make people aware about maintaining cleanliness of their surroundings and extend support to the Municipal Corporation in making the Jammu ‘Clean and Green’ city.
