Srinagar, August 18, 2025 : The Srinagar district administration on Monday issued an advisory in view of the forecast for heavy rain, thundershowers, cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides across parts of Kashmir between August 18 and 19.
Residents of Fakir Gujri, nearby areas, and Khonmouh have been urged to stay away from slopes, water bodies, and low-lying areas until weather conditions stabilize.
The advisory also cautions tourists, shikara operators, and sand miners against crossing the Jhelum or its tributaries without properly assessing water levels and flow conditions.
