Srinagar, October 9, 2025 : The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday relieved Ms. P.D. Nitya, IPS (AGMUT:2016), from her posting as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama to enable her to join the Rajasthan Cadre following her approved inter-cadre transfer.

According to an official order issued by the Home Department, J&K, under the directions of the Lieutenant Governor, and in pursuance of the communication from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, Ms. Nitya has been formally relieved from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from October 8, 2025 (A/N).

“Ms. P.D. Nitya, IPS (AGMUT:16), SSP Pulwama, is hereby relieved from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir to enable her to join the Rajasthan Cadre on account of her inter-cadre transfer,” the order reads.
