Jammu, March 30, 2026 : In a heartbreaking incident, the bodies of two teenage boys who drowned in the Tawi River have been recovered, while rescue teams continue an intense search for a third missing boy.
The victims — Bavish Koul (15) and Aditya Pandit (15) — were among three teenagers swept away by a strong current near Sainik School Nagrota on Sunday evening. The third boy, Sonam Dutt (16), remains missing.
🔍 Rescue Operation
- Teams from police, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with local volunteers, launched a rescue operation immediately
- Army divers joined efforts on Monday morning, accelerating the search
- Bodies of the two boys have been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for post-mortem

According to officials, the three boys were:
- Playing volleyball on the riverbank
- Later entered the river for a bath
- Got caught in a strong current, leading to the tragic drowning
