Jammu, March 9, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed transformative changes over the past five to six years, making the governance system more transparent and firmly focused on public service.
The Lt Governor made the remarks while inaugurating the **headquarters building of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at Sidhra in Jammu and the ACB APKS branch at Awantipora.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Manoj Sinha said the newly inaugurated buildings were not merely physical structures but a symbol of transparency, accountability, and the government’s commitment to a corruption-free Union Territory.
“Today, Jammu and Kashmir stands at a pivotal juncture. Over the past five to six years, we have ushered in transformative changes, making the system transparent and dedicated to public service. The entire machinery now works not for the benefit of a select few, but for every individual across the Union Territory,” he said.
The Lt Governor emphasised that Jammu and Kashmir no longer settles for mediocrity, but is moving forward with bigger aspirations and renewed confidence among its people.
He noted that a strong belief has taken root among citizens that a brighter future lies ahead, and fulfilling that vision also requires the dedication and integrity of officers and staff serving in the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Calling upon the bureau to strengthen its efforts, Manoj Sinha urged officials to ensure that every decision, investigation and prosecution stands the test of judicial scrutiny.
He further said the ACB must utilise the authority granted under the Constitution of India to expose injustice, eliminate corruption, and build greater public trust in governance.
