Jammu, March 31, 2026 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday assured a transparent and legally sound recruitment process, announcing that the Jammu & Kashmir government aims to fill 25,000 vacancies this year.
Replying to a query by PDP MLA Waheed ur Rehman Para in the Assembly, the Chief Minister stressed that while recruitment will be time-bound, it will not be rushed at the cost of legal complications.
“We want transparency and speed, but not at the cost of ending up in court,” he said.
Focus on Transparency & Legal Safeguards
Omar Abdullah highlighted that past recruitment drives were often challenged in courts, leading to delays and leaving many aspirants overage and deprived of opportunities.
He emphasized a balanced approach—ensuring due procedure, fairness, and timely completion.
