Rajouri, September 24, 2025 : Two labourers had a narrow escape after a mound of earth caved in at a road construction site in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening at Beri-Pattan near Sunderbani, where the labourers were digging a roadside drain.
Quick action by fellow workers ensured both labourers were pulled out safely, preventing any casualties, officials added.
The rescue highlights the importance of safety measures at construction sites, especially in hilly terrains prone to earthslides.
