SRINAGAR, September 23, 2025: The Union Bank of India on Tuesday extended a helping hand towards flood relief efforts in Jammu and Kashmir by donating ₹1 crore. A cheque was formally presented to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar.
Expressing his gratitude, the Chief Minister said the contribution would significantly strengthen ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures for flood-affected families.
“Collective efforts from institutions and individuals are vital for helping the state recover from this calamity. I deeply appreciate Union Bank of India for their support,” Omar Abdullah said.
Focus on Developmental Concerns
In a separate development, MLA Banihal Sajjad Shaheen and MLA Budhal Javid Iqbal also met the Chief Minister at the Civil Secretariat. The legislators raised key developmental concerns of their constituencies and sought urgent government intervention.
The Chief Minister assured them that the issues highlighted would be examined on priority and necessary steps taken to ensure balanced and inclusive development across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
