Jammu, March 30, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday attended the closing ceremony of the Vande Mataram @150 Special Phase at Abhinav Theatre, calling the iconic chant a symbol of India’s identity, strength, and collective resolve.

Addressing the gathering, the LG said:
“Vande Mataram is not just verses, but a profound experience woven into our civilization… it revives memories of martyrs and renews our commitment to India’s glory.”
He urged citizens across Jammu and Kashmir to unite with a shared vision of making India the world’s greatest nation, emphasizing collective responsibility in nation-building.

The special phase (March 23–30) commemorated Shaheedi Diwas, honoring the sacrifices of freedom fighters who paved the way for India’s independence.
The LG paid tribute to martyrs and visited an exhibition showcasing their historic contributions.

Highlighting progress in the Union Territory, Manoj Sinha noted:
- Strong public participation in previous phases of Vande Mataram @150
- Top-performing districts like Kishtwar and Poonch leading nationwide rankings
