Reasi, September 5, 2025 : Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mahore, Shafqat Majeed Bhat, said on Friday that 323 houses have been fully or partially damaged in the Sub Division following days of incessant rainfall.
So far, 88 families have been evacuated to safer locations, including 59 families in Jamslan and 29 families in Sarh, who have been accommodated in Panchayat Ghars and other designated shelters.
The SDM assured that the administration has made all necessary arrangements for the displaced families, including medical care, food supplies, and essential services. “Our priority is the safety and well-being of every affected household. Relief teams are on the ground and all possible assistance is being extended,” he said.
