Jammu, September 2, 2025 :  Continuous heavy rainfall in Jammu has triggered landslides and raised safety concerns, prompting the administration to shut several important routes across the city.

Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, announced the closures on Tuesday, confirming that traffic has been barred on the 4th Bridge and the adjoining rotary. Commuters have been advised to avoid movement from Hotel Asia, Satwari Chowk, and Bhagwati Nagar towards Major Somnath Chowk and the 4th Bridge until further notice.

Additionally, the road stretch from Atal Chowk (Panjthirthi) to Sidhra Bridge has been completely blocked due to landslide debris and continuous shooting stones, making travel unsafe.

Authorities have urged the public to strictly follow advisories and avoid non-essential travel on these routes until clearance and safety restoration works are completed.
