Srinagar, Sep 11, 2025 : The Ministry of Law & Justice, Department of Legal Affairs, has appointed Advocate Farman Ali Magray as Central Government Standing Counsel (CGSC) to represent the Union of India in litigation before the Delhi High Court.
Farman Ali, a seasoned lawyer with over a decade of experience, currently serves as Principal Associate at DSK Legal, New Delhi. He has been handling Union of India matters since his appointment as Senior Panel Counsel in 2020. His portfolio includes representing key bodies such as the National Anti-Profiteering Authority, Delhi Development Authority, and Punjab State Co-operative Agricultural Development Bank.
Hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, he is the son of Ali Mohammad Magray, former Chief Justice of the J&K and Ladakh High Court. The appointment has been approved by the President of India and is valid for three years or until further orders.
