Ganderbal, Sep 11, 2025 : The Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal has constituted a special team of revenue officials to demarcate State land in Sonamarg transferred to the Tourism Development Authority under the Roshni Scheme.
The team, led by Sub Divisional Magistrate Kangan, includes tehsildars, naib tehsildars, Girdawars, and patwaris. The demarcation will follow Government Order No. Rev(S) 256 of 2007, and the land will be handed over to the Sonamarg Development Authority.
This step is part of a wider probe into alleged land encroachments under the Roshni scheme, also referred to the CBI for investigation. The team is tasked to submit the demarcation and handover report within two weeks.
