Anantnag, September 20, 2025 : The District Police Anantnag on Saturday issued a public advisory banning the use of drones, UAVs, and other aerial devices in the district without prior approval from the competent authority, citing security concerns.

The advisory, issued in the interest of public safety and security, makes it mandatory for individuals, institutions, media professionals, and event organizers to seek advance permission before operating drones in any part of Anantnag.

Police warned that any unauthorized flying of aerial devices will invite strict legal action, including the seizure of such equipment. Citizens have been urged to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious drone activity to the nearest police station or on the district helpline numbers: 9419051940 and 01932-2222870.

Authorities emphasized that public cooperation is crucial for maintaining peace and ensuring that security protocols are not compromised.
