Srinagar, October 9, 2025 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle in the police administration, transferring 21 officers, including seven IPS and fourteen JKPS officers, as per an order issued by the Home Department on the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Among those shifted are the district police chiefs of five key districts, officials said.
According to the order:

Abdul Ghani Mir, IPS (1994 batch), has been appointed Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF, relieving Alok Kumar of the additional charge.

Mohammad Yaseen Kichloo, SSP, Cybercrime Investigation Centre of Excellence (CICE), Jammu, is posted as Principal, Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Talwara.

Shobhit Saxena, SSP, Kathua, is posted as SSP, Security J&K.

Tanushree, SP, SIA Headquarters, is posted as SSP, Pulwama, succeeding P.D. Nitya, who has been relieved to join the Rajasthan cadre.

Sahil Sarangal, SSP, Kulgam, is transferred as SSP, Handwara.

Mohita Sharma, AIG (Provisions), is posted as SSP, Kathua.

Officials said the reshuffle aims to strengthen field leadership, improve operational efficiency, and streamline police administration across the Union Territory.
