JAMMU, October 14, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday inaugurated the one-day Police Diwali Mela at Gulshan Ground, Jammu, an event dedicated to honoring police martyrs and promoting community engagement.
The LG was accompanied by J&K DGP and other senior police and civil officials. “A large number of people from all walks of life attended the mela, which has been dedicated to the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation,” officials said.
During the event, LG Sinha paid tributes to martyrs, inspected various stalls set up by district police units, and witnessed a patriotic cultural programme, commending the organizers for their efforts.
IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti said the mela has been a huge success, drawing crowds from across the city and fostering closer ties between the police and the community
