JAMMU, November 3, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday lauded Team India’s historic triumph in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, calling it a “moment of immense pride for the entire nation.”
The Indian women’s team lifted their first-ever World Cup title with a commanding 52-run win over South Africa in the final at Navi Mumbai on Sunday — a victory hailed as a golden chapter in India’s sporting journey.
“World Champion Team India! Congratulations to the Indian Women’s Cricket Team on lifting the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The team’s determination, skill, and fighting spirit have inspired millions across the country,” Sinha said in a post on X.
Celebrations erupted across Jammu, with youth bursting firecrackers and chanting slogans in honour of the champions.
